St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is one of the rare non-profit organizations that has worldwide visibility, respect from every corner, and truly encompasses all areas of their cause–childhood cancer. St. Jude funds groundbreaking and lifesaving research and has the best possible Doctors, nurses, and staff to ensure their patients have the most advanced treatment possible. When a child comes to St. Jude for cancer treatment, their family does NOT pay a dime for care, and St. Jude also provides an extensive support system for patient’s families and friends. This type of extraordinary research, care, and support is only possible through fundraising and donations from individuals, companies, family foundations, and other non-profit funding.
Fotoboyz was honored to be a part of a prestigious evening of fundraising for St. Jude. We thank Carnival Cruise Lines for hiring us to be at the 15th Anniversary of the FedEx/St. Jude Angels and Stars Gala presented by Bancredito in Miami, FL on May 20, 2017. Carnival thought of a unique way of helping the Gala by donating our photo booth services to the event for guests to have extra fun. We discreetly branded the Open Style Booth as the Carnival Fun Booth, which was also printed at the top of the customized photo strip, which was also customized to match the Gala’s Gatsby era theme. Fotoboyz also provided a gold backdrop and a customized black and gold wrap for the booth and Social Media Share Station that reflected the Gatsby era theme of the Gala. The customizations looked AWESOME!! The best part, we are able to save and inventory all the customized wraps for Carnival’s future use.
The FedEx/ St. Jude Angels and Stars Gala was a first class event with guests and celebrities entering on a VIP/ Hollywood style red carpet step and repeat which Fotoboyz also supplies for events. Celebrities included Gala performers Steve Lippia, known for his Las Vegas Simply Sinatra, and Latin Grammy Winner Oscar D’Leon and his Orquestra. Also present was Latin actress and TV Personality Admari Lopez who was presented with the FedEx/St. Jude Lifetime Achievement Award for her dedication to raise funds and cancer awareness in the Hispanic community. Also receiving the award at the event was Julio Barrionuevo, Sr VP of Operations for FedEx Express Mexico, Central America, Caribbean and Global Services for his commitment and longtime leadership as the gala’s co founder. Mr. Barrionuevo has contributed significantly to the $32 Million FedEx has raised for St. Jude!! Fotoboyz was honored to have another special guest in the photo booth who donated $1 Million to St. Jude on this evening from the Weiss Family Foundation!!!! A silent auction also raised money for St. Jude and offered a variety of trips, sports memorabilia, art, pamper packages, and unique items.
With a Gatsby Era Gala theme, entertainers dressed as Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, Gangsters, and in other era costumes helped the party get started by mingling with guests. Many guests visited the photo booth for great couples poses, individual shots, and awesome group photo fun! The props were so much fun at this event and included St. Jude themed signs Fotoboyz created for the event. We can customize props for any theme, corporate branding, or slogans and were happy to donate these custom props for this extraordinary charity event.
After the extended cocktail hour, guests entered a lavishly and beautifully decorated ballroom in Miami’s Intercontinental Hotel where the program included a live auction, presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Awards, and fabulous musical entertainment while guests enjoyed a delicious plated dinner service.
Once the program ended, guests continued the extraordinary evening with dancing and lining up for photo booth fun!!! Guests LOVED their printed photo strips and also received a digital copy by entering their email in the Social Media Share Station. The Gala was a super successful evening raising money for St. Jude’s, and Fotoboyz represented our long time client Carnival Cruise Lines in a classic and memorable way at the Gala! Guest’s had such an amazing time the Fotoboyz was asked to extend the photo booth for an additional hour and a half!
