Honda Classic 2018 for Gosling’s Rum

Reigning FedEx Cup Champion (https://www.pgatour.com/fedexcup.html) Justin Thomas won his second tour event of the season on February 25, 2018. Thomas (https://www.pgatour.com/players/player.33448.justin-thomas.html) made a birdie on the last hole to force a playoff with Luke List (https://www.pgatour.com/players/player.27129.luke-list.html) to determine The 2018 Honda Classic Champion (http://thehondaclassic.com). Battling winds and fast approaching darkness, Thomas held his nerve and made another birdie on 18 to win the title. Golf fan favorite Tiger Woods (https://www.pgatour.com/players/player.08793.tiger-woods.html) also played well to finish 8 shots behind in 12th  in what is shaping up to be a long awaited comeback season for him.

Gosling’s Rum (http://goslingsrum.com) once again held court over the coveted Bear Trap at The Honda Classic. This viewing deck is a unique, coveted experience as it allows fans to enjoy the golf day with food, drink, and fun while watching the famed three-hole stretch on the PGA National The Champions Course (http://www.pgaresort.com/golf/the-bear-trap). Consisting of Holes 15 (par 3), 16 (par 4), and 17 (par 3), Jack Nicklaus (http://www.nicklaus.com), who designed the three holes of the Bear Trap, says “It’s not about length. It’s about precision. It’s about guts.”

Fotoboyz has partnered with Gosling’s Rum for many years to help fans enjoy the Gosling’s Family of Rum Drinks while waiting for their favorite players to play through the Bear Trap. This year we worked with Rinear, who is awesome, to coordinate the daily set up for the Bear’s Trap and for the After Party inside PGA National Resort and Spa (http://www.pgaresort.com).  Malcolm Gosling, Jr. is always a pleasure to work with and personally approved all the custom designs for the Boomerang Booth custom wrap, the Custom Backdrop, custom Gosling’s Rum virtual and hand held props, and the Gosling’s custom Snapchat Filter for the event.

After guests had a super fun time with the Boomerang Booth taking photos and making super fun animated GIFs with the Gosling’s custom props, Fotoboyz staff (who also acted as brand ambassadors for Gosling’s wearing customized Polo’s with the Gosling’s Seal) helped guests enter their email or social media information into the Social Media Sharing Station. This is an add on feature to the Boomerang Booth (and all styles of Fotoboyz photo booths) that allows guests to receive their awesome photos and videos digitally while collecting VERY useful data for the sponsor (in this instance, Gosling’s Rum). We are able to show how many times a photo was shared, the total photos taken and shared across social media, and collect emails for a sponsor’s targeted future product or event campaign.
